CIS HOCKEY TOURNAMENT 2007
This past weekend we scored some VIP tickets from our buddies at Maritime Cresting for a couple of games from the 2007 University Cup tournament.
I had no idea Buddy was a hockey nut, I don't think he did either!
Buddy had such a good time, he bought us all sandwhiches!
We also went to the local sportshop and bought some wheely knees as buddy calls them. You know those messed up sneakers with wheels in the heels. Big Show, buddy and I all got a pair, my brother in law Shane chickened out.
Look how cool these are!
Buddy didn't even buy them, he walked right out! - What a rebel!
All the girls loved his wheely knees!
He was busting some sweet moves.
Then a mall security guard told him to take them off. Buddy told him that he was a failed police officer. How rude.
Finally we hit the coliseum and the delectable VIP lounge!
Look how much fun we were having!
What a rink!
We had a great time - University of Moncton won the game and went to the final the day after we left - they lost to Fredericton. But wow, what a game.
Big thanks to Brett Doyle at Maritime Cresting!
Gene.

FATKAT LOVES CAT FUGARINO
On the left, playing the part of the princess is Catherine Fugarino Extension 540. I say it like that because everytime I call her, I hear her say Catherine Fugarino Extension 540 on her voicemail.
She's a genuine lady and a real frigging hoot to work with - she's certainly worth her wait in gold doubloons to Byte, as she's worth that much to us while working on all the interactive projects we've been doing with her over the past 3 years.
These are just some pictures she shared with me from her trip with her beau to San Diego.
She's a great client and a great pal!
Muchas Love,

HOW GREAT IS DACAPO PRODUCTIONS?!
There are just some folks in the industry that get what it is to be a true partner. Yeah, yeah, some folks say, "We should work together, y'know, form an alliance." But then they forget, or they have better things to do. I'm guilty for saying this too sometimes, but man, Dacapo Productions is quite possibly the best alliance we've made to date.
Case in point, we've been working with these guys for about 3 years now. We've visted each other many of times outside of tradeshows and conferences too, but this last visit from Clint and Nolan took the cake.
They heard that in our new studio we had an edit suite. I told them this room was large enough to hold a small recording booth if we wanted and without so much as a hint, Nolan and Clint flew down with all the gear needed and built us a sound booth. Can you believe these guys!?
Alot of work goes into making one of these rooms, alot of software & hardware too.
Clint stuffing the ceiling with insulation.
For two days these guys hammered on our newly redubbed "Dacapo editing suite" and it works great.
Nolan trained Beansy on the software and now we're all good to go.
Recording all sorts of things from music tracks, sfx, voice work, all in a pince if we need to and at professional quality too!
Speaking of professional quality! - The first guy in the booth was Fatkat Producer and known villain on the mic', Geremy Walker. Oh what fun we'll be having!
Come on down and record some stuff on in our dacapo suite, all thanks to our great buddies at Dacapo Productions!
Much love yo,

OLD KATS COME TO VISIT
Chantelle Cochrane and Craig Schriver came back to their beginnings last week for a visit. Craig and Chantelle were amongst the first wave of animators back in the day (feb-2005) that worked on some Trevor Romain projects here at Fatkat Animation Studios. They also worked on other numerous fatkat projects such as the "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, Spray!" webseries and Happy Tree Friends before leaving for greener pastures in Toronto.
But like other fatkats have come to realize, sometimes other pastures just aren't as green as they looked from a distance, so they return to their roost! (I'm certainly glad Dave and Cindy did!)
As soon as the camera comes out Gui gets all shy.
Tara as well.
Justin, not so much. He actually turns into an old woman.
You don't want to know what Jimmy turns into.
Geremy usually gets other feelings when cameras come out. The more cameras the better even.
Love and banana popsicles,

FATKAT LOVES MICHAUD!!
And everyone knows it! - Michaud knows it too, that's why he made his very own "Love Michaud" Custom Valentine's Day T-shirt. So you can love him all day long! Feel the warm flow of Michaud against your skin, feel Michaud's downy softness!
Yes, Michaud is the shizzles my nizzles. But don't take Fatkat's word for it...
Take the word of this young woman who's obviously infatuated with our Michaud
We love you Michaud, you're the best, big hugs and ginger snaps the next time I see you.

FATKATS GO BOWLING FOR KIDS! | 2007
For the 3rd year running a bunch of us volunteered our Saturday to a charitable cause. Bowling for kids, no not with real bowls. It's actually a sport with a little ball and some big sticks they call candlepins, no not real candle pins, they just kind of look like them.. ah ferget it.
Speaking of die hard rock star look alikes. Justin Coffee is one bad designer. You guys should all race over to his blog and check his stuff out.
Alot of kats came out for the occassion, it was good times.
Most surprising was Jon Roth, who was very surprised that we thought so.
Who's that sexy beast. Montgomer Moth rules!
Erika after bowling a 232!
If you look really close, Lauren is almost giving me the finger. WE all know that she really does mean it though.
Louis had is custom made bowling shoes. No fair. Man, he's a good bowler.
This is the first time I've ever seen even a hint of a smile from Mandi and funny enough this is the first time that I've seen Dan Helle without one. Their matching track suits must have thrown it off for them.My lovely wife came out and demonstrated how to score a 87 without moving from her chair.
Wynne and the giant jaw breaker.
Neil holding it in.
Gwen went a little bonkers after staring at Neven's score card.
A great event and time had by all, Fatkat raised over $500 towards the bowl for kids charity.
YAY!
