ON BEHALF OF KENTUCKY WELCOME RYAN HARROWS

I'm not sure how tuned into college basketball you people are. There was a freshman last year named Ryan Harrows for NC State. You might not know him (yet) because he wasn't the star of the show. This is an example of NC State, not knowing what it has...or should I say had. Harrows is going to transfer next year and has narrowed it down to a few schools. One of these schools is Kentucky.

Well Mr. Harrows, I can say on behalf of Kentucky fans everywhere, PLEASE, do yourself and all of us a favor, get your ass to Kentucky. Kentucky will probably win it all next year. You can be the focal point of this team. Calapari has an amazing track record for taking point guards that are good, and making them NBA ready. For some of you asking yourselves, "who the hell is this kid?" watch this...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YT-BbVFvfRQ

He's about 5'11 and can almost tomahawk from the foul line. The guy is sick and hopefully a future Celtic. The schools have been narrowed down to Kentucky, Louiville, St. Johns, Georgia, and Texas. Seems like a no brainer if you ask me. Do the right thing Ryan, make us proud.

Celtics vs. Heat Preview

Every Celtics fan wanted this deep down. Everyone in the world wanted this. Heat vs the Celtics. This will be an all out war. It will be heart wrenching and fun. Everyone wants to see the Heat lose, but I think actually being the ones to beat them will make it all the more better. I'm going to break this series down assuming Shaq will not play a single minute.

Overall: The Heat are probably a more talented team on paper. The only problem for the Heat is that the game is played on a court, by players, not on paper, by analysis. The Celtics have been pretty dominate on the wing with Pierce and Allen, but look for that to drop a little bit for the most part of this series because James and Wade are some of the top wing defenders we have. I'm going to actually give them and advantage here with few little disclaimers. 1. The only one stopping Ray Allen is Ray Allen. If he's shooting well it really doesn't matter, he's gonna get his. You could be the best wing defender in the world it won't matter. Also, the fact D Wade will chase Ray Allen all over the court for a whole series will effect his offense. I'm giving Wade an advantage in this match up for the obvious reasons, but Ray has the little advantages that over a long series will add up. Wade will score 30 points at least twice. But so what. Ray Allen will have two nights where he can't miss. They'll balance out. Lebron vs Pierce, well, of course Lebron is a more skilled basketball player. But for the most part pf Lebron's career, Pierce has gotten the better of him. We aren't talking about a couple games here we are talking about a lot of games and a handful of big games, Pierce just flat out out balls Lebron. I'm not sure why, or what it is about Pierce's game that bothers Lebron but Pierce has his number. Lets give Lebron the advantage here anyway for the sake of science. Not by much though. Lets move on to Bosh vs Garnett. You have to give a huge advantage here to Garnett. Why you ask? Am I a biased idiot who just picks my favorite players. No, look at the facts. Who's a better offensive player. Bosh. No doubt Bosh has a bigger offensive arsenal. It's not a drastic advantage but it's decent enough. Who's a better defender? Duh. And that advantage is very drastic. Garnett is one of the leagues best defenders where Bosh is one of the leagues worst. By the stats, Bosh is the third worst at his position on defense. What does all this mean exactly? Well, Garnett's defense is strong enough to take Bosh out of the game for the most part, but Bosh's defense isn't strong enough to remove Garnetts offense. Which leaves Bosh a useless waste of space. Also, the way the Celtics play defense, like a team, Bosh will have to worry about weak side help, J.O. and friends, swatting their big as hands at everything he puts up. And my last point on this topic, Bosh is a pussy. I know, it has nothing to do with basketball right...no wrong...it has a lot to do with it. Bosh doesn't like getting hit. It makes him take stupid jump shots. Remember this next statement when you watch the series. "Chris Bosh will start off as the confident, finess, post player we know him as in game 1, and as the series goes on he'll turn into a jump shooter that become irrelevant."

Moving on to the center position. Well, assuming J.O. plays at the same level, we have the advantage there. I think we even need to go ahead and exploit it. (God help Miami if Shaq even plays a little bit) I don't think it's a stretch to say Krstic has the advantage over any center they throw out there. Which brings me to a point I always make over and over again when talking about playoff basketball. Miami is a running team. Running teams don't win in the playoffs. Their inability to slow down the game when they need too will doom them against the Celtics. They have no one to throw the ball down low too and say, here big guy, get us an easy two. The Celtics don't really have that either unless Shaq plays, but they have another guy named Rondo who can control the pace of the game in other ways. Speaking of Rondo lets talk about the point guard match up. One of the main reasons I think the Celtics will win this series is the way Rondo has played so far in the playoffs. If he even comes close to what he did in NY, who's gonna stop him? Mike Bibby? The Heat have 3 gaping holes that Rondo exploits, and the reason the Celtics will win this series.

1. Lebron and Wade both have problems playing off the ball, partly because they are used to having the ball all the time but mostly because they don't have a point guard who can distribute the ball well and feel the game. This will hurt them.
2. They have no true big man so it allows Rondo to go deep in the lane and then create open looks for a Ray Allen, or a paul Pierce. (Some silly idiot is reading this and saying but Lebron or Wade can do the same thing. And yes, your right, but the whole idea is to have the play made FOR your best scorer, not BY your best scorer.)
3. Closing time. Lets be real. We've all seen the numbers. Crunch time has been a big problem for the Heat all year. I think there 1/17 or some crazy stat like that in the final 24 seconds of a game and being down by 3 or less. This is a point guard problem. You need a guy who has been calling the game, knows the feel of them game, knows who's hot, who's not, and someone who can make a good decision. The Heat don't have this because they don't have a real point guard. Instead they same here you go Lebron, go make one. Such a cop out. Run a fucking play. Or don't and keep losing.

Game by Game

Game 1. Celtics win 92-88. I believe this week off will help them. Doc will be better prepared. They'll have the in's and out's down. Of course this is the Heat's home floor so I think they'll lead for most of the game and then they'll blow it in the final minutes because of what we just talked about. Final minute execution.

Game 2. Heat win 101-92. They'll have to win one of the home games or they'll be a joke.

Game 3. Celtics win in some kind of lop sided blow out.

Game 4. Celtics take care of it again riding a hot Paul Pierce. (Seriesly, look for Paul to have a huge game 4. 29 points)

Game 5 Heat make it interesting sending the series back to Boston.

Game 6. Celtics close it out winning by 15 points. Proving the Heat still have a long way to go.

P.S. I really miss Tony Allen.....the guy took the Boston defensive mindset to Memphis and it worked. He's awesome. I love how the Celtics D, is spreading throughout the league, Perk for the Thunder, Allen in Memphis....Tom for the Bulls.....Doc must feel like a proud father.

The Answer: I CAN HEAR PINS FALL ON THE FLOOR AT MSG

I'd like to take this moment to give my final rebuttal to Social whatever (yes whatever, or social fuck as I called it last time. It wasn't a dis, I just don't give a shit to know the name)

Your guys rebuttal to me first started personal. Well, to respond to that, don't all emotional buddy, theres always next year.

Now on to bball, and I'll make it quick so I can go back to my real life. We had some talks about the past last time. I guess theres no need to go there because our history is the best in all of basketball. I mean denying that is just denial right, so we can all agree to leave the past out of it.

We talked about the present and the future and thats where we can stay. You and all of Knick fans every will say we ALMOST beat you in game one and two with out billups. Let me explain something to you though I guess you guys have been losing for so long that it feels like a win when you come within 2 points...it's not. I't still a loss. Both times. And sure, with Jared Jeffries on the floor you almost won twice. So does that make the series competitive...NO. It's 3-0. It's not. I'm not sure how much basketball you watch but this is that playoffs. Every win is a grind. The playoffs are about grinding out W's. Thats it. There are rarely blow outs...oh wait...sorry, besides the other night. But for the rest of the league. Look around. Look how the Hornets beat the Lakers in game 1 without David West. I mean it happens. Playoffs are all about closing out games that are close. And I want to say sorry from the bottom of my heart because really you have nothing. You guys were never close. Spin it in your head like you were, but look at the facts. We've beaten you the last 7 times we played. Your down 3-0 in the series. And you got blown out on the epic homecoming to the Garden. You guys are not even remotely close. Which brings me to the future.

You guys obviously have a very long way to go. You have two amazing players to build around. But lets face it, you guys are so far away its crazy. You guys haven't even competed in this series. If you guys get swept, it will be back to the drawing broad. Now hold up, since I don't want you to respond to this let me make all your excuses for you, and then reply so we can save times.

Billups is hurt - get use to it, he won't resign next season

Ama're is hurt- if your on the court....you can play...don't be a pussy.

We are a brand new team still trying to learn each other- Have you looked at the Celtics. 5 new players at the deadline.

Garnett plays dirty- So?

You guys cheated- If you don't cheat you don't try.

You'll get beat by the Heat. Nah...we won't, but either way you'll be watching it not playing in it.

Listen, I'm sorry to Knick fans everywhere that your team sucks. And when you do get good...its will be in the wrong era. Bulls aren't going anywhere. The Heat aren't going anywhere. The Thunder are the future. I can honestly say that this current Knick teams core will NEVER win a championship. I really believe that. Not because you guys won't ever be good enough. Because Honestly, I love Carmelo, I think you could build around him. I think they will, but sorry, never gonna be better than the teams I just named.

So in conclusion of this entire ordeal, since the series is all but over. Not yet for the Knicks. We already new that. But what we learned from this series is they have a long way to go. And at least you'll be able to say you lost to the champs. Peace.

The Answer Gets An Answer

During the entire Knicks vs. Celtics playoffs series, The Campus Socialite (Knicks) will square off against Dueling Couches (Celtics) in a trash talk showdown. We’re taking this rivalry from the courts to the blogs.

Remember when our own Answer ranted about this

“Ummm so I just got done reading this little battle between DC and Camp Social Fuck and I’m checking into the game here. Now I’m not doing it because I have some long rant and rebuttal to their stupid fucking article about the 90′s, I actually only have one thing to say (and I’ll take this moment to say a few other things.)” More

Well the Campus Social Fucks responded:
First was a response by someone called “The Answer” which ironically only left me with questions, like who allowed this clown to actually publish something on their site, and why everything he says contradicts itself to the point that I don’t know what the hell this dude is trying to accomplish. My time spent on replying to “The Answer” will be limited simply because I have better shit to do. In response to you calling us “Camp Social Fuck”, that sounds like the most awesome place ever, and being that you probably can’t afford a lawyer I am going to go ahead coin that phrase, and make a t-shirt out of it.

Then on to your actual commentary about the game I will say the following; I find it funny that you feel Rondo (can’t shoot), Jeff Green (bum), and Big Baby (mush) lead you to a level of confidence in the future. The fact that you are counting on a draft pick and the hope of a free agent, doesn’t sound very promising either.

To your points on defense, and the Knicks lack there of, we have held your Boston Celtics under 100 pts two games in a row. I think our defense has been decent enough. And to demonstrate how contradictory your ignorant arguments are, you first mention how D’Antoni will be fired, and then say how we wont ever win a championship because of his game plan. Good point dude. Well thought out.

You compare the Knicks to the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks don’t have Melo or Amare, they have Josh Smith. Relax on that comparison kid.

The Knicks were by far the more effective team in the half court offense, it was Boston’s offense that all came from their running game. If you have watched the Knicks in this series or prior to the playoffs, you would know that with the addition of Melo and Billups we have transformed them from a running team to a more half court offense. Which makes your statement about how the knicks running style offense will never win in the playoffs, irrelevant. Lastly, RAY ALLEN might be the best shooter ever, but he was only open because Garnett tripped Toney Douglas, and the ref didn’t call it because you blew him before the game.

Im out.

The Answer: I Want In This War!!!

Ummm so I just got done reading this little battle between DC and Camp Social Fuck and I'm checking into the game here. Now I'm not doing it because I have some long rant and rebuttal to their stupid fucking article about the 90's, I actually only have one thing to say (and I'll take this moment to say a few other things.)

Dear Knick fans...mark my words. YOU WILL NEVER WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP WITH THIS TEAM. Thats right I said it. Somebody had to say it. Am I a hater? I don't think so. I like to think of myself as the most biased realist Boston fan there is. Your right about one thing, this is our least year of this run. Maybe we can squeeze next year out to. But to say we will be back to the 90's is just plain stupid. Rondo is locked up for 5 years. If I'm a big time free agent and I'm looking for a big city to play in, who will I join? Theres a handful of cities to go to but only one that has the best distributor in the game. So trust me, Rondo, Jeff Green, the Cavs lotto pick, Big Baby, and some big free agent, I like our chances. But as I digress I want to get back to the point.

Amare' is awesome. Melo is maybe the best scorer in the world. But I'm so sorry to report, defense wins titles. Not fucking scorers. Now your coach, (who will be fired after this season) doesn't give two fucks about defense. You can call Melo's foul at the end of the game dumb and the reason you lost. You can call Melo's 3 pointer hail mary a stupid shot and the reason you lost. We can't point out 20 plays throughout the night that give you guys the loss. But lets look at the facts. Boston and New York both had an opportunity for a game winner. Boston capitalized, Knicks did not. But not on offense...ON DEFENSE. Theres a good reason Melo chucked up a hail mary. There was no where else to go. We won that game on a defensive stop. Now lets back track 12 seconds before. Let me explain the facts here real fucking simple so you retards don't miss anything. I'll speak slow so those of you with PhD's in the room can understand what I'm saying: If Ray Allen, the best shoot EVER is wide open for a game winner, thats bad defense. And thats the reason you lost. BAD DEFENSE. This will continue to happen, over and over again.

Lets break down the Knicks for a second and your not so bright future. You have Melo. Arguably one of the worst defenders in the whole league. You have Amare, arguably one of the worst defenders in the league. You have a coach who doesn't care about defense.

Diantoni's strategy is get the best shot you can in the first 7 seconds of the shot clock. Run, Run, Run until the other team can't stand. Let me make the point that in the regular season the strategy works and works well. But do some research instead of making bold ass claims. Look at our last 10 champions, Lakers, Celtics, Heat, Spurs, Pistons combine for the last 10 rings. All HALF COURT TEAMS. For those of you who don't get this concept I'll make it simple for the basketball idiots reading. Up tempo teams, such as the Knicks, Hawks, 76ers, never win in the playoffs. They have one gear...5th. Half court teams usually have a point guard who has all gears and can slow the game down. If you can't play in the half court, your team isn't built for the playoffs.

So Knick fans, buckle up for the next 8 years. Great regular season, early exits from the playoffs. Take that to the bank. If you wanna dismiss what I'm saying your not being realistic. The Atlanta Hawks are a great example of your future. Look at them. Look at their roster. It looks good on paper. They play great basketball. They've had the same team for years and never get out of the second round. Why? Because they don't know how to slow down the game and get easy buckets.

So in conclusion, stop living in the past. Let the 90's be the 90's. And if your bringing up the 90's in this fight well, don't. We don't like attacking unarmed armies, because bringing up the 90's is like saying, well, we got nothing on you now but remember back in the day. Oh yeah by the way, if you really wanna live in the past, you really wanna go there, don't do it with the Celtics. Cause all we say then is 17 rings bitch, how many you got? Thats what I thought. Lets focus on the future, which I just showed you isn't going to be all that great either. So really the moral of the story is keep your mouth shut and take whats coming to you. And heres to another 20 years for shitty Kicks basketball.
