Golf Player Lee Westwood Wiki & Photos !

Lee John Westwood OBE born 24 April 1973 is an English professional golfer. Noted for his consistency, Westwood is one of the few golfers who has won tournaments on every major continent, including victories on the European Tour and the PGA Tour. He was named player of the year for the 1998, 2000, and 2009 seasons. Born in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, Westwood began to play golf aged 13 with a half set bought by grandparents. His father John, a mathematics teacher, took up the game at the same time to encourage his son. A talented sportsman at school, Lee played rugby, cricket and football.

In May 2010, Westwood contested a playoff at the BMW PGA Championship with fellow Englishman and at the time world number two Luke Donald. On the par five 18th, Donald hit his approach shot into the green leaving six feet for birdie. Westwood attempted to follow him in close to the hole but got too much backspin on his pitch and the ball spun back into the water hazard. Westwood eventually chipped up from the drop zone and went on to make double bogey. Donald would then hole his birdie putt to win the championship and in the process become the new world number one.

Westwood is represented by International Sports Management. Westwood was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the 2011 Birthday Honours. Westwood claims, proudly, to have never read an entire book in his life.

Christina Kim

Christina Kim (born March 15, 1984 in San Jose, California) is a Korean American professional golfer, currently playing on the United States LPGA Tour. She is known for her animated and vocal style of play and flamboyant dress. Kim won the 2004 Longs Drugs Challenge and the 2005 Mitchell Company Tournament of Champions and was a member of the winning American Solheim Cup teams in 2005 and 2009. She was the youngest player to reach $1 million in earnings, which she achieved in 2004. This record was broken in 2005 by Paula Creamer. Kim's autobiography, Swinging from My Heels: Confessions of an LPGA Star, co-written with Alan Shipnuck was published in 2010.

Natalie Gulbis

Gulbis started finding interest in the game at the early age of 4 years old. By the time she reached 7 years old, she had won her first tournament. In three years, at age 10, she was breaking par. She played in her first LPGA tour event as an amateur at the age of 14 years old. She attended Granite Bay High School and graduated when she was 16 years old. She turned professional at age 18 after playing for one season on the women's golf team at the University of Arizona. Gulbis did not win a tournament in the first five years of her professional career but still finished sixth on the LPGA money list in 2005 with over $1 million (U.S.) in earnings and played on the winning United States Solheim Cup team. She placed in the top 10 in four consecutive major championships from the 2005 LPGA Championship to the 2006 Kraft Nabisco Championship. Gulbis' first professional win came in 2007 at the Evian Masters where she defeated Jeong Jang in a play off to claim the winner's share of the $3,000,000 purse.
